Long Haul & Drayage

CNG/RNG Parallel Hybrid Powertrain Technology

US Hybrid CNG/RNG Truck

Vehicle Overview

US Hybrid provides near-zero-emission, natural gas-powered (CNG/RNG) Parallel Hybrid Powertrain technology for drayage and long-haul trucks. After several years of R&D and robust testing, this manufacturer-agnostic technologydelivers improved power, range and efficiency than diesel engines and other CNG/RNG alternatives.
In addition, the new CNG/RNG parallel hybrid powertrain features optional vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging technology. This industry-first, advanced technology will add near-zero-emission, road-side charging assistance to both drayage and long-haul fleet operators, offering versatility and convenience to fleet customers.

Features

More Power

The CNG/RNG truck has a combined 640 HP and 1770 lb-ft maximum torque. The natural gas-powered engine and the electric motor enable uphill acceleration with superior performance to diesel engine alternatives.

Less Fuel

A smaller 8.9-liter near-zero NOx engine operates with greater efficiency, resulting in double the fuel economy of a standard 15-liter engine.

Better Range

Preliminary testing suggests this innovative, fuel-efficient and high-power technology will deliver up to 1,000 miles of range per fuel fill – doubling the range, power and torque for similar CNG/RNG trucks.

Improved Efficiency

The improvement in CNG engine performance, paralleled with the electric motor with appropriate controls, results in reduced NOx emissions and fuel consumption for transient load uptake.

Near-Zero-Emissions

Our technology provides 35 miles of zero-emission operation at ports or designated regions.
