US Hybrid provides high performance permanent magnet and Induction motor drives for Fuel cell auxiliary components, ultra-light duty personal transportation and medium duty commercial vehicles.
US Hybrid has experience and expertise in motor and drive design and manufacturing. The Digital Signal Processor based controller provides vector torque control for both induction and permanent magnet motors. US Hybrid advanced control technique allow synchronous operation of both surface mount and interior mount permanent magnet motors utilizing very few low cost hall sensors.
US Hybrid has two 200kW and a 12kW Dynamometers with a 30,000 rpm high-speed test apparatuses.
US Hybrid has expertise and experience in integrating various types of series and parallel hybrid drive systems for transit and commercial applications.
US Hybrid produces components for ultra light duty vehicles for US and international customers. We are currently producing high power density 3kW and 6kW Interior Permanent Magnets “IPM” and 18kW PM motors and controllers.
The 8kW motor generator is also used in the hybrid engine, which is an integrated 375CC engine with 8kW hybrid motor/generator and 3kW power generation capability.
The 18kW is used by an international customer on a 14 passenger van in-line parallel hybrid application with a 2.0 liter lean burn engine. US Hybrid also is finalizing the design and manufacture of a 160kW, drive system (AC induction motor and controller), due for demonstration August 2005.
